Ok before we begin with the puzzle, do keep in mind that you have to answer it quickly.
You are participating in a car race. Seeking the perfect moment, you overtake the second person in the race. What positions are you in now?

A girl gave lift to a guy. After being dropped at his home, the guy asked for her name. She told him that her name is hidden in her car's number.

The IPL (Indian Premier League) is about to start. A total of nine teams are participating in the league. As per the game play, each team will have to play two matches with every other team and then the top four teams are to be qualified for the playoffs.
Can you identify the minimum wins required for any team to ensure a place in the playoffs?
Total number of matches that are to be played are:
9C2 * 2
= 9! / (2!7!) * 2
= 8 * 9
= 72
And thus each team will play 16 matches.
Now let us examine the possible cases.
Case 1:
If suppose, Team A, Team B and Team C wins 14 matches each i.e. they lose 1 match each from the other two teams, then the Team D can win only 16 - 3 * 2 = 10 matches.
Case 2:
Now let us suppose if the top four teams win 13 matches each.
Team A: 13 wins and 3 loses from Team B, Team C and Team D.
Team B: 13 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team C and Team D.
Team C: 13 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team B and Team D.
Team D: 13 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team B and Team C.
In this case, the Team E can only win a maximum of 8 matches as Team A, Team B, Team C and Team D will win all the matches played by E.
Case 3:
If suppose the top five team wins 12 matches each.
Team A: 12 wins and 3 loses from Team B, Team C, Team D and Team E.
Team B: 12 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team C, Team D and Team E.
Team C: 12 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team B, Team D and Team E.
Team D: 12 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team B, Team C and Team E.
Team E: 12 wins and 3 loses from Team A, Team B, Team C and Team D.
Now Team E wins 12 matches but it still won't be able to qualify for the playoffs (assuming that it has the lowest run rate).
Therefore from case 2, it can be said that a team must win at least 13 matches to be sure to play in the playoffs.
You have a thousand Re. 1 coins with you. You have ten bags with you and you can put any number of coins in each of the bags. You and your two friends are working in a multinational company. How can you three find out the average salary of you all without disclosing your own salary to the other two ?

In the same manner your friend B, will add his salary with a random number to the amount given by A (you) and will pass it to C.

Now C has the total amount of their combined salaries. He will tell the amount to all of you and you can easily divide it by 3 to get the average salary.
There are two guys are standing face to face in a room. On a wall, there is a clock. One of those is a prophet. He tells to the other guy that in five minutes, he will be stabbed in the back.

The first girl cannot be Demi as that would make the first one liar. For the same reason, Demi cannot be the second one as well. Therefore, the third one is Demi for sure. This further suggests that the middle one is Diana and the one on the left is Drew.
On a bright sunny day, two fathers took their son fishing in the lake. Each man and son were able to catch one fish. When they returned to their camp, there were only three wishes in the basket. What happened?

Three friends named Mr. Black, Mr. Yellow and Mr. Green enter a pub on a weekend night. They are wearing either a Black, Yellow or Green shirt.
Mr. Yellow says to them, 'Did you notice that we all are wearing different color shirts than our names?'
To this, the man who was wearing the Green shirt said. 'Wow, thats right.'
Can you identify who is wearing which color shirt ?
The answer is right in front of you. Since all are wearing different color shirts from their names, we know that Mr. Yellow is either wearing a Black or a Green shirt. But through the two statements, we already know that Green shirt is worn by somebody other than Mr. Yellow. Through this we can deduce that Mr. Yellow is wearing a Black shirt.
Now Mr. Green is definitely not wearing a Green shirt and since Black shirt is already worn by Mr. Yellow, he must be wearing a Yellow shirt.
Now we have one person left and one color left. Thus, Mr. Black must be wearing a Green shirt.
You come across a man sitting on the shore of a sea. That man is holding a picture in his hands and crying. Concerned, you decide to go and talk with him.
Reaching him, you ask him, 'Whose picture are you holding?'
To this he, looks at you and then turn back towards the picture muttering, 'Brothers and sisters I have none, his father I my father’s son.'
